Had a good time with my family at the resort, enjoying the pool and various activities. However, the cabin was cramped, the bed creaked, and we weren’t informed about needing our own linens. Some areas, like the bathrooms, could use better maintenance for cleanliness.

Loved the location of Basswood Resort. Spacious cabin with great air conditioning. Enjoyed the cozy fire pit outside, perfect for our nights. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had access to lovely hiking trails and ponds for fishing. However, the cabin could use better cleanliness. I found some old stains on the sofa and some dirt in corners. The furniture felt a bit worn out as well. Overall, a really nice getaway, but they need to up their cleaning standards.

The barbeque scene around Platte City is lit—head to Smokestack BBQ for some finger-licking goodness! The bungalows are cozy and perfect for a family getaway. Plus, the pool and play area are pristine, making it easy to unwind after a long day.

Not gonna lie, the area around the lakes could use a tidier touch. Trash and debris were noticeable, and the couch in the cabin was more shabby than chic.

The place was well-equipped with a full kitchen, which made cooking so much easier. We especially appreciated being able to bring our non-service dog along, making it a perfect getaway.

In my wife’s opinion, more play areas for kids would be great.

Though the campground has charm, litter around the lakes and trails detracted from the scenery, making the outdoor experience less pleasant. The couch in the cabin could use an upgrade, showing its age and wear. I ended up covering it with extra linens for comfort. The proximity to the airport means the sound of planes flying overhead isn't uncommon, which might disrupt the tranquil vibe some might seek.

We also loved hanging out by the pool and trying out the fun playground with the kids. While there was some litter around the lakes, it didn’t really bother us—just pack some extra snacks and enjoy the pizza delivery! 🍕

This place suits me perfectly, providing wi-fi, free parking, and a picnic area. The staff helped me with town info during my first stay, making it memorable. I recommend visiting during the week for a quieter experience. I'm definitely coming back for a city trip.

I enjoyed the serene atmosphere and beautiful lakeside views at Basswood Resort. The paths around the lake were easy to navigate, making it suitable for seniors, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly throughout our stay.

Great family vibes!

We had a fab time staying in the family bungalow. The staff were super friendly and helped us settle in real quick. They even had fun activities planned for the weekend, though we couldn't make it this time. The only bummer was the shower didn’t have any soap or shampoo provided. Plus, the picnic area was a nice touch!

Loved the pet-friendly cabin with a great fire pit. Wi-Fi was spotty.
